he Romans brought apricots to Serbia in the third or fourth century. Descendants of those original trees are among the two million apricot trees in Serbia. Apricot orchards are especially concentrated along the Danube River.

Main varieties include the Hungarian best, Roxana, and Keckemet Rose.
